i amgoing to buy a SATA HDD ....for my asus mother broad ...p5w dh ..i am IDE HDD that the OS system installed on it i am going to use SATA to keep my data like games an d mucis ,movies...so on so is SATA better dose it crate any problem if what are they ? thanks

You should be good to go...I'd think about this though. You get a lot of activity on the drive that the os is installed on. I think you would be off if you used a utility to copy the os partition over to the SATA drive, the drive manufacturer will probably provide one for you and use your IDE for documents, mp3 and videos. Possibly even use it for a backup drive. In general, you are heading down the right path. The SATA drive will be much faster and is the next generation of hard drive interfaces. As cheep as they are getting now, go ahead and get a big one. 500 Gig or more if you can float the cash for it.
