What is a good laptop/notebook computer to purchase?

I am looking for a good laptop/notebook computer at a decent price (less than $700) for digital pictures, downloading & burning cd's & fast internet...

I tell ya what... I have owned 5 laptops in the past 10 years. By far, the best has been my current, my Toshiba Satellite M45-s331.
It is lightweight, kickass screen, very easy to use & almost problem free. I bought it a year ago new, so you can probably get it real cheap on ebay or pricegrabber.com.
