Why won't my external hard drive be recognized?
Question:
I recently bought a SATA/Ide Usb 2.0 enclosure for my ATA/IDE hard drive. The hard drive is from a Mac, so I installed MacDrive on my Windows computer. My Vista laptop gives me the option to safely remove the hardware from my computer but it will not show an icon in My Computer for the drive. In Disk Management it says the drive is unreadable. What can I do to fix this? I hope I've provided enough info to get some solid suggestions.
I cannot access the drive in anyway, to make any changes.
I also plugged the drive into a Mac and it still won't be recognized. Any suggestions?
