In the primary ide, the setting under current is Multi word DMA mode 2, was told it should B 4 or 5. Transfer Mode reads DMA if available. I am running XP with a 80 gig hard drive. If some1 can help that would B great, thank U

the dma read trap settings are so thatyour Mb cn be set to match the hdd you install setting it incorrectly is not and advisable idea, jsut cause the buttons there dont mean you should click on it, as mbs cme suited to many hdw config options if your dma is 2 on hdd set it to 2 and leave it
